OREGON PAGE TEN NHS Basketball Lads Win One, Lose One; Two Contests on Tap This Week A Saturday evening 63-52 Oregon 7A-2 win over the En terprise Savages and a Tuesday night 58-35 SRV-A loss to the Vale Vikings are results of the Nyssa Bulldog’s latest hoop tilts. With 31 points. Bulldog Tom Moore took scoring honors during the Saturday conflict, backed by Colin Chester with 9 ♦counters. Brad Maxtield anil Dannv Wilson, 8 each; Gary Ross. 4; Paul House, 2; and Scott Jefferies, 1. Bulldogs Capture First Wrestling Bouts of Season Pacing the visiting Enterprise squad was Ted Freds. who scored 19 points for the Savages. The NHS team was down by a 25-18 tally at halftime, but ral lied in the third stanza and con tinued to hold the lead. The Bulldogs are slated to battle the Warriors Friday night on the Meridian hardwood and on Saturday night will host the lads from Bishop Kelly high in Boise. Nyssa’s matmen registered their first two wins of the season by smashing the Payette Pirates 32- 14 Jan. 26 in the Nyssa gym and taking a 29-19 victory over the Caldwell grapplers. The Bulldogs grabbed an early lead in the Thursday contest by winning the first two matches. A string of five wins, three pins and two decisions in the heavier weight divisions clinched the vic tory for the Nyssa team. Ralph Estrada. Darryl King. The Pirates took three bouts by decision and won the upper weight division by a forfeit. In the Tuesday evening match with the visiting Caldwell Cou gars, Rudy Vendrell, Jensen.
