Santa's First Appearance It will be the first appearance of Santa in Nyssa. He’ll be in the rear of the procession, on an unusual conveyance, throwing out “Kisses” for the tots along the parade route. Afterward he may be interviewed at the old Taylor Market building (corner of Fourth and Main streets) where the Nys sa Jay-C-Ettes will be looking after the little ones and making the appointments with “The Ol’ Gent.” The parade will form at the school bus garage area and indi- vidual units will be positioned there, All floats in the parade should be there at 1 p.m. for pre judging for the prizes. This will be done by out-of-town people from Parma, Vale and Ontario. Other entries are asked to be there not later than 1:30 for posi tioning in the parade. Parade Route Outlined The procession, led by Scouts carrying the American and church flags, followed by parade marshal, Mayor Grant Rinehart, will hit Main street at the “Y” and pro ceed down Main to First, thence south one block to Good, thence westward to highway 201 near point of entrance on Main. The three prize winners will fall out of the parade line at South First and. Good, turning left, making a circle at the Union Pacific depot and return up 'Main street for viewing. Music, Tool The Nyssa and Adrian bands will be playing Christmas music with choral groups of the grades from both schools marching and singing Christmas carols. Weath er permitting, the choral groups will also carol in downtown areas.
