Shan- na is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bair, a student in Janice Wilson's classroom and was named patrolman of the month. Tony s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gene DeMinck. He took honors as Octo ber patrol officer and is in Hazel Lane's classroom. The top stu dents are selected by city police department officials and members of the elementary school faculty.—Staff Photo. OHS Tigers Roar To 81-7 Victory Over NHS Eleven Displaying a powerful offensive team, the Ontario Tigers romped to an 81-7 win over the Nyssa Bulldogs Friday, Nov. 4, at Tiger Stadium in Ontario. Scoring eight touchdowns by running and four by passing, the Tigers tallied 35 points in the first half and 46 in the second period. The Bulldogs’ lone touchdown came in the first quarter when Dick Finger scored on a three- yard run. Scott Jefferies booted the extra point to give Nyssa its seven points. Ontario gained 15 downs, while Nyssa picked up nine. The Tig ers rushed for 385 yards and pass- ed for 270, compared to 140 on the ground and 39 yards through the air for the Bulldogs The game ended the season for both squads. Ontario closed with a 7-2 season. Without a victory, the Bulldogs ended the season with a 0-8-1 record. Classifieds Bring Results! OREGON Antelopes Finish Football Season With 6-2 Record The Adrian Antelopes finished footall season last their Friday evening with a 49-6 vic tory over Wilder. The win gave Adrian a 6-2 season record, down- ed only by Parma and Homedale, top teams in the SRV-B ranks (northern and southern divisions). The Antelopes scored first on a five-yard plunge by Pud Franks, with Steve Knegh kicking the point-after, his first of seven dur- ing the game. Wilder retaliated and early in the second period Goff ran 40 yards for the Idaho squad s six-point tally. Adrian then came back with Franks scoring again, this time from the three-yard line with Kriegh kicking the extra point. The Antelopes then marched 70 yards for their third touchdown, with Tim Tailman scoring from the 22-yard line, and the halftime score read 21-6. Tally 27 in Last Half The Oregon lads broke loose m the last half by scoring twice in each of the third and fourth quar- ters. Tailman tallied six points on a 28-yard run and then threw 20 yards Dan Cutler. Again Kriegh kicked both extra points. In the final stanza, Tallman hit r ranks for an 11-yard passing score, and Jim Brewer made the final touchdown on a six - yard run. Kriegh again booted two ex tra points. Adrian coaches report they feel the team played an extremely fine final game and are pleased with the blocking of linemen and work of Wingback Gary Shields.
