Cottrell Engagement Told Mrs. Houston Wilson has re ported winners for the Monday evening session of Nyssa duplicate bridge club. Dr. and Mrs. K. A. Danford were first place winners. Dr. and Mrs. L. A. Maulding, Charles Mi chael and Mrs. Houston Wilson tied for second and third places. Regular play is scheduled for next week in the Wilson resi dence. BRIAN (BUD) LAWRENCE Joyce Evelyn Skeen and Brian D. (Bud) Lawrence were united in marriage during a 3 o’clock afternoon ceremony performed Sunday, Aug. 28, 1966, in St. Paul’s Episcopal church. Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. David H. Skeen of Ontario, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph G. Lawrence of Nyssa. Two basket arrangements and a pair of altar bouquets of red and white gladioli provided the nuptial setting, and music was furnished by Mrs. Dwight Wy ckoff. Glamelias and ribbon bows graced the family pews. The double-ring rites were per formed by the Rev. Armand La- rive in the presence of 75 guests, Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was attired in a street-length suit of white crepe, designed with satin collar and matching buttons. Her shoulder - length bouffant veil was held by a circle-tiara of satin and she carried a bouquet of white carnations and red rose buds. Mrs. Sharon Sanders attended her aunt as matron of honor. She wore a white crepe street-length dress of A-line design and car ried a bouquet of red rose buds and carnations. Her headpiece was a large satin bow which held a short veil, covering the back of her hair. Reg Denny served as best man for his brother-in-law, while ush ers were Dick Atagi and Warren Ash. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Skeen wore a frock of green jersey and beige accessories. Leading the group this year are Jeff Wieneke, president; Dan McGinnis, vice president; Jim Farmer, secretary; and Karl Smith, who were elected Wednes day, Sept. 21. New members should obtain a vest from former members or get a pattern in Room 16. The mater ial for vests is available at Wil son Bros. Department Store and will cost approximately $2.50.
