Fred will be an electronics in structor at the Tennessee base for the next two years. He re cently returned from the Vietnam area where he served aboard the Aircraft Carrier Yorktown. During the family’s stay in the parental home, the group went to Anthony lake for an outing. RETURN TO CALIFORNIA Mr. and Mrs. Kent Mann and Melanie left Saturday to return to their home in Walnut Creek, Calif., following a short visit with their parents, the Charles Manns and Leo Gonyers. Miss Marilyn Gonyer returned home with her sister for a visit of several days. TEACHERS GROUP MEETS FOR LUNCHEON SESSION Members of Upsilon chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma met Tues day for a luncheon session at Four Seasons cafe in Ontario Mrs. Evelyn Harms, newly in stalled president, conducted the business meeting. SHEILA PRATT (on left) was among 4-H club members taking honors in swine showmanship at this year's county fair as were Mark Pratt and Monte Fujishin (not pictured). They are all mem bers <f the Adrian Livestock club. Sheila was among winners in the junior division. The young man on the right is Tim Tailman of the Ridge view community. His grand champion mature sow won honors in the Future Farmers of Am erica division. Tim is a member of the Adrian FT A chapter. Journal Photo*. Day Couple Returns From Trip to Coast Mrs. Glenn Stephens of Hay ward, Calif., arrived Aug. 13 to accompany her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Day of Adrian, on a trip to the coast. They first went to Seattle to visit their son and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Day and family. They saw the World’s Fair site and visited Boeing Aircraft field in Renton. The group then traveled to Il waco and spent several days surf fishing, clam digging, fishing from the jetty and sightseeing at Ocean Beach, Osterville and other points on the peninsula. From there the Days went to Astoria, traveling over the new bridge which is not quite com pleted and on to Warrenton where they went salmon fishing, visited the various state parks and historic sites. The group returned home via the Columbia river scenic drive, viewing the many waterfalls, Crown Point and the various dams, arriving home Sunday eve ning.
