Boydell. 50- year residents of Nyssa, celebrat ed their golden wedding anniver sary last weekend with visitations from all of their children and members of their families. Visiting their parents and at tending an anniversary dinner on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Herb Smith. Ron and Ken of Walnut Creek. Calif ; Mr and Mrs. Har old Rhodes and Susan. Linda and John Beckham, all of Milton- Freewater; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Boydell. Nancy and Kent of Nys sa. Blanche Nankervis and Arthur H. Boydell were married May 11. 1916. at Butte. Mont., and shortly thereafter came to Nyssa Mr. Boydell went into the retail store business here and until his re tirement in 1955. for many years was manager of the Eder Hard ware firm in Nyssa. Rita Delores Howe, Robert Rowers Exchange Vows in Recent Ceremony KATHLEEN KECK MARRIES VALE MUSIC INSTRUCTOR Nu Acres—Mr. and Mrs. Sher man Keck recently announced the Jan. 8, 1966. wedding of their daughter. Kathleen, and Clarence O. Pugh. The wedding rites were performed in Winnemucca, Nev. The bride grew up in the Nu Acres community, attended local schools and is a junior at Wil lamette university in Salem. Her husband is a graduate of Willam ette university and is vocal music instructor for the Vale public schools. During the business session, a report was given regarding the 13th conservation essay and pos ter contests in Nyssa schools and it was noted that $41 had been given as prize money. It was also reported that the recent plant sale was successful. It was reported that repair is needed on the planter boxes at Malheur Memorial hospital. Checks were sent to assist with the following projects: world gar dening, which at this time is seeds for Korea; national ceme tery in Portland; native floral; life membership and the state scholarship fund which provides for two horticultural students at Oregon State university. During the program time, Mrs. L. A. Maulding told of her recent trip to Egypt and southern Eur ope. The young couple plans to visit in the parental I-eavitt home during mid-June prior to his de parture for Iowa Miss Williams will then return to Corvallis to attend summer sessions at OSU. The couple will be married Aug. 34 in the LDS temple at Salt Lake City and will make their home in Corvallis where he plans to resume his studies at OSU, work ing toward a doctor’s degree in physics. Friends of the family are in vited to visit in the Leavitt home during the periini of June 12-16 when the young couple will be guests.
