An auction of handmade articles was held to raise money for the club treasury. THIRTY CUB SCOUTS from the Nyssa area and those accompanying them spent a busy, but fun- packed day. in the Idaho capital city Saturday. They left the Nyssa terminal at 11:10 a.m. with all the Cubs and some of their leader« aboard the Union Pacific train. Other adults went to Boise in cars io transport the lads home, arriving back in Nyssa about 7:30 p.m. Among those accom panying the boys were George Hirai, the Rev. Wallace Prowell. Messrs, and Mmes. Kurtz Couple Returns After Two-Month Trip NYSSAN RETURNS HOME Mrs. Angie Cook returned last Friday from Sweet Home, Ore., where she had spent two weeks visiting in the home of her son and daughter - in - law. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cook and family. While there, Mrs. Cook visited the sites of Foster dam which will be com pleted sometime during the sum-; mer and Green Peter dam, sche duled for completion next year. Newell Heights — Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Kurtz returned home last Thursday after a two-month trip to California and Arizona. They spent a month with their son, Harold and family in Pasadena and stayed with the children for two weeks while Harold and his wife were in Boise and Portland for speaking engagements.
