A Photogenic Lad 4 ♦ This photo of the four-year-old son of former Nyssans Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Toomb of Lebanon, Ore , is one that appeared in the Hollywood Spotlight photo direc tory The magazine is published to furnish businesses with pic tures of children for magazines, calendars and television advertis ing. Kent's picture was taken by a Salem photographer when the subject was three years old, and the photo was submitted for pub lication by his maternal grand mother, Mrs. John K. Mullins of Nyssa. M. B Lee, picture editor of the magazine, stated in a letter to Mrs. Toomb that he rarely wrote to a mother personally. But in this case, he was doing so be cause the lad’s picture had been selected for having more interest ing advertising appeal than many others received. The small boy received a spe cial photo award certificate and two copies of the magazine, one of which was sent to the Mullins couple in Nyssa Kent's paternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Toomb, also of Nyssa. dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Ekanger and son of Caldwell.
