Ontario, Oregon Funeral services for Arthur Eugene (Jack) Ford were con ducted Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 23. 1MK. at the Baptist church in Cambridge, Idaho. Officiating was the Rev. John Bullock of Nyssa Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Ford succumbed Sunday morning in the hospital at Weiser. Idaho, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage. He was born Aug 23, 1909, at Midvale. Idaho, and in 1911 mov ed with his parents to Rush Creek where he ranched and rais ed cattle with his father until the latter’s death in November 1935. Mr. Ford was married June 21, 1931. to Iva E. Burgess at Baker, Ore. They moved to Cambridge in April 1947 where the deceased was co-owner and operator of the sale yard. He sold his interest in the yard in January 1948 when he and his wife moved to Cottonwood where Mr. Ford owned and operated a sale yard there until January 1949 when he sold out and returned to Cambridge. There he once again purchased a share in the sale yard and oper ated it until he went into direct- order purchasing of livestock. The deceased was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 27. Cam- bridge. In addition to his widow of the home, he is survived by four sons, Walter E. of Nyssa. Jack Earl of Parma. Dwanc L. of Caldwell and Harold E. of Cambridge; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby M. Braun of Cambridge and Miss Wilma J Ford of Salem. Also surviving are two brothers, George of Cambridge and Harry Ford of Eugene; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Lark of Roseburg. Ore.; a foster-brother. C. E. Layton of Salem and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Services were under direction of Northam-Jones chapel of Wei- ser, with concluding rites at the Cambridge cemetery conducted by members of the IOOF lodge there. Pallbearers were Lawson Howland. S. armed services in Germany. He was reported missing on Jan. 20, and was later found, hav ing died of an apparent gunshot wound.
