Brady Retires From Air Force Duty; Accepts Boeing Post A retirement ceremony was conducted Sept. 30 at Mountain Home Air Force Base for Chief Warrant Officer W/3 Elroy B. Brady and eight other men re tiring from the U. S. Air Force. Navy apprentice seaman ended that day for CWO Biady with the completion of 22 years ser vice. He joined the Air Force in 1949 as an aircraft maintenance technician, was promoted to the rank of master Mrgeant in Octo ber 1951 and in December 1956 was appointed a warrant officer. He has served as officer of pro duction control, aircraft, contract and vehicle maintenance. Brady is married to the former Mary Rust, daughter of Nyssans Mr, and Mrs. Tom Rust. The couple has four children, Barbara, James, Robert and Martha Brady has accepted a position as methods analyst with Boeing company in Seattle and the fam ily will reside there. Enroute to the Washington city, the Bradys were overnight guests of his mother, Mrs. J. I. Brady of route 2, Nyssa. They were joined there by their son, James, who is a freshman at Treasure Valley Community college in Ontario. Durham, an elderly couple and longtime residents of this com munity, went to the barn to milk their cows. While there, a Negro man ap peared at the barn door and or dered them to return to their house. He followed, ordering them into the dwelling. Durham went in first, and as his wife entered she attempted to close the door. The man grabbed her cane and hit her twice on the right side of the head. He was ready to hit her again when she did manage to get the door closed.
