Haymond Simpson of Nyssa spent the weekend at the home of his parents, Mr and Mis. Hay Simp on, and worked on u boat trailer. Visitors From Germany Mis. George Hossbach and three children arrived recently from Germany to visit her mother. Mrs Tina Schiemer; her brother, George; other relatives and friends. They expect to spend a month visiting and plan to be home prior to the opening of school. Thev have 11 - month terms in Germany. Mr and Mrs William Strong, who live in the Farr tenant house, returned recently from Portland with their new son, Terry Lee. He was born June 15 in the Hose city and is their first child. Mr and Mrs. Pat O’Loughlcn returned home Monday after a July I weekend outing nt M<<’nll. Merrill Call and son, Bryan, were Friday evening dinner guests in the Alfred Simpson resi dence. Dinner Honors Webb Mr. and Mrs. Luit Stam were Friday evening guests at a birth day dinner honoring W W Webb of Adrian. Attend Dance Festival Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Simpson and family, Mr. und Mrs. Huy Simpson attended a recent Mon day evening dance festival in Boise. Their daughter, Thelma, was among participants. Charles Ix*edy returned home Saturday from a trip to Sacra mento and Corning, Calif., where he visited his sons, mother and step-father. The latter two have troth been on the sick list. Two grand* hildien, Mark und Jamie, returned home with him for a three-week visit on the farm. Mrs John Fahrenbruch visited Friday evening with Mrs. Helen Butler. Water Ski at Lake Owyhee A group from the area held a family picnic und went water ski ing Friday evening at Lake Owy hee. Attend Slumber Party Alene Simpson held a slumber party Friday evening to celebrate her 12th birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Jones were July 4 dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Dejmal. Joel Barnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Barnes, is home on leave from the U. S. Army. He had been stationed in Korea and will soon be serving in Germany. Attend Camp Session Mr. and Mrs. Vern Smith, the Harlan Meyer family, Monte Cox and the Dean Jessup family of Midvale attended the July 3-5 Conservative Baptist family camp at Camp Elkanah near La Grande. Speaker was Dr. Earl Radmacher from the Western seminary at Portland. Missionary speaker was the Rev. Richard Elkins, who is on furlough from Pakistan. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nelson and family attended a July 4 weekend reunion in Bountiful, Utah. The gathering was held by the Jack- son family, relatives of Nelson's mother. Wes Robbins was honored on his seventh birthday anniversary with a July 8 party. Friends who helped him celebrate are Ricky Kitamura, Kent Nelson, Kenny Fujii, Tommy Baker and Jimmy Sayers.
