REPORT BIRTH OF SON Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jayo of route 1, Nyssa, are parents of an 8- pound, 4-ounce son born June 22 at St. Alphonsus hospital in Boise. The infant joins two sisters, Anna Marie and Angela Lynn, in the home. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Mark Moncur, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jayo, all of Nyssa. The second three-day period of horse racing will begin this eve ning and continue Friday and Saturday evenings at the Malheur county fairgrounds in Ontario. The event is sponsored annually by the Snake River Horse Racing and Breeders association, headed by Ed Frost, with Roy Brewer as general manager of the meet. There will be eight races night ly, with the first to start at 7:30 o’clock. This evening is ladies’ night and they will be admitted free of charge.
