OREGON ... > St Local funeral services for Su san May Chamberlain will be conducted at 3 o’clock this after noon. June 17, 1965, at the Nyssa LDS stake chapel. Bishop Howard Bair will offi ciate, speaker will be Glen Peter son, vocal selections will be pre sented by Mr. and Mrs. Jay Gib son. Nola Watson and Mark Mon cur, with organ music by Shirley Ashby. Mrs. Chamberlain succumbed Tuesday at Malheur Memorial hospital following a brief illness. She was bom Dec. 11. 1882. at Pleasant View. Utah, a daughter of James and Karen Hansen Jen sen, and attended schools there. On Oct. 26, 1908. Susan May Jensen and Henry E. Chamber- lain were united in marriage at Pleasant View. They resided in Utah until five years ago when they moved to the Nyssa area. Mr. Chamberlain is a retired rail road man. The deceased was a member of the LDS church, Daughters of Utah Pioneers organization and Town and Country Garden club. Her favorite hobbies were flower gardening, crocheting and em broidering. She had completed many items of fancy work for her church and members of her fam ily. In addition to Mr. Chamberlain, she is survived by three daugh ters, Mrs. Sherman P. (Virginia) Bybee of Nyssa, Mrs. Roma Al vord of Ontario, Calif., and Mrs. Jean Schow of La Puente, Calif. Also surviving are two broth ers. Ephriam Jensen of Boise and Joseph Jensen of Ogden, Utah; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Chamberlain was preceded in death by one son, Vance in July 1944; two daughters, Gene vieve Chamberlain Barker in January 1960 and Vera Chamber- lain McDonald in 1963. Nyssa services will be under direction of Lienkaemper funeral home. Pallbearers will be S. P. Bybee, Owen Froerer, Jay Bybee, Marion Glenn, Darwin Jensen and Gregory Nelson. Concluding services will be held at 11 o’clock Saturday mor ning in Ogden. IN APPRECIATION We take this opportunity to ex press our deepest gratitude to everyone who assisted in the search for the body of our son, Eddie Grijalva. We also thank all who provided food and expressed their sympathy by sending flow ers and cards. Your many kind nesses will never be forgotten. —Mr. and Mrs. Joe Grijalva and Family. George Mendazona Succumbs; Nyssa Services to Be Held Recitation of the Rosary, in memory of Gre Gorio (George) Mendazona, will be at 8 o’clock Friday evening. June 18. 1965, at Lienkaemper chapel, with mass to be held Saturday morning at St. Bridget’s Catholic church. Mr. Mendazona succumbed on Wednesday at Malheur Memorial hospital following an illness of several months. He was born Nov. 27. 1893, in Spain and had been a resident of the Nvssa- Adrian area since 1910. In addition to Mrs. Mendazona, he is survived by one son. Henry of The Dalles; four daughters, Josephine. Teresa, Victoria and Angie of the home; and one grandchild. Burial will be made in st John’s cepoMery at Ontario under direction of Lienkaemper funeral home. EXPRESSION OF THANKS We wish to publicly express our heartfelt thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Chester Mills and Donald Brewer for their assistance at time of death of our loved one. And we express appreciation to all those who called and took food to the home. We desire to thank the Rev. Ralph A. The women’s bro ther and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Schmit and grand daughter of Montrose, Calif., are expected to arrive during the first part of next week at the Sallee home.
