OREGON I Awards Presentation Numerous Keglers Presented Awards Held at Sugar Bowl At Recent City Association Banquet For Junior Keglers Numerous trophies, gifts and cash awards were presented to local bowlers at the Nyssa Woman’s association banquet held Saturday evening, May 15, at East Side cafe in Ontario. The awards were presented by association officials and league officers. Following is a list of award winners, accord ing to the various women’s and mixed leagues. MEETING Members of Adrian American Legion post and auxiliary are planning a potluck dinner and meeting Tuesday evening, June 1, in the Legion hall. The dinner is scheduled to be served at 7 o’ clock followed with a business session. SISTER DIES IN MISSOURI Big Bend Mr. and Mrs. John Samer received word Sunday of the death of his sister, Mrs. Tres- sa Samer Clark. She was a resi dent of Butler, Mo., and succumb ed Saturday evening. EVENING VISITORS Mr. and Mrs. Tom Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Warren were visitors last Thursday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Reeves. Nyssans Attend CAP Meeting in Colorado Capt. and Mrs. S H. Porter, Capt. and Mrs. M. C. Lewis and Senior Member Max Mitchell of the local Civil Air Patrol unit attended the Rocky Mountain re gional conference May 21-23 at Estes Park, Colo. Personnel from Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana wings attended the session. Air Force Coi Mason, national com mander of CAP, and his staff from Ellington AFB, Texas, con ducted workshops in all opera tions of Civil Air Patrol. Delegates from this region went by plane from Boise to Denver on May 21. They planned to re turn home Sunday but were grounded at Lowry AFB near Denver due to inclement weather and arrived home Monday.
