Knife and Fork Club Patrons io Hear Fighter of Russian * Encroachment ♦ ♦ Guest speaker at the March 8 meeting of Knife and Fork club will be Nicholas Nyaradi, dyna mic naturalized citizen on whose head the Russians put a price when he was minister of finance in Hungary. The Monday meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at East Side cafe in Ontario. Nyaradi defied the Russians again by returning to Europe last summer. He is a large, broad- shouldered doctor and probably the only living man, certainly the only one in America, to beat the Russians out of anything. According to a news release from the Associated Clubs, Inc., of Topeka, Kan,, he talked them out of $130,000,000 while residing for seven months in the Soviet capital. The former minister came to the United States in 1948 and has been fighting Russian encroach ment policy through articles he has authored for several leading magazines. He is also author of a book, “My Ringside Seat in Moscow,” published in 1952. At present he is professor of economics and di rector of international studies at Bradley university in Peoria, Ill.
