FURROW This is a short plea for By SCOTT LAMB Information Director a small dog — a flea scratching, squirrel-chasing, rabbit-running Brittany Spaniel by the name of Spike. He is brown and white, about four years old, freckle-faced and very friendly—the kind of dog that had to greet each stranger, usually by putting his dirty front feet on their clean clothes, or a lick in the face if he got the opportunity. But he loved children and our grandchildren will miss him very much. Spike would probably be con sidered worthless by some stan dards but he loved to hunt and was really very good at it — still wanting to hunt long after we were tired out. Bui the good things in life never seem to last and shortly after noon on July 15 someone visiting or fishing at Owyhee dam picked him up ... So this is our plea if the person who picked him up needs a dog that badly and doesn't feel that he could return him to two people who like him very much, then please take good care of our dog Spike. —Howard and Hazel Day Owyhee Dam KvXVSc Service io Honor LDS Missionary Morris Williams The congregation of the Nyssa Methodist church will hold a pic nic at Apple Valley school park next Sunday following church services. Attends Youth Camp Kenneth Spitze is attending the junior high “Christian Adventure” youth camp at Wallowa lake Methodist campgrounds this week. Serving as a counselor at the camp is Mrs. Raymond Sager. They will return Monday eve ning. Another delegation of eight students is registered for the sec ond session of junior high camp ing which begins July 27. Special Group Meets College and other post - high young people of the church have been meeting each Sunday eve ning at 7 o’clock. Both Miss Sager and Miss Seu- ell are active members in the Nyssa Methodist church and its Youth Fellowship organization. The delegation from the Idaho conference will travel on a char tered bus from Twin Falls and will take a side trip to Chicago on the return trip.
