By Mrs. Wilson Witt NEWELL HEIGHTS—Mrs. Jack Earnest of La Grande arrived May 12 and visited until Friday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. McKinley. She returned home, accompanied by her daugh ters, Mary Ann and Susie, who stayed with their grandparents while Mrs. Earnest went on a mountain climbing expedition on Mt. Hood. There were 17 in the party. The group drove to Timberline Lodge and it took eight hours to make the climb to the top and four hours to return to the lodge. Mrs. Earnest reports it was very cold with lots of snow and fog.
