Lewis Bean Chosen As Fund Consultant For Red Cross Drive Lewis Bean of Ontario has been named as volunteer fund con sultant for the 1964 American Red Cross campaign for members and funds, it was announced this week. Active in fund raising for sev eral years, Bean will assist Red Cross leaders in Malheur, Harney and Grant counties in developing plans for upcoming fund-raising efforts, according to John T. Hawley, Boise attorney and 1964 national fund vice chairman for the Red Cross in Idaho. "Bean is one of 400 key com- munity leaders selected to serve in similar Red Cross posts throughout the nation,” Hawley said. The newly named volunteer fund consultant serves as district manager of the Ontario district of Idaho Power company, A resi- dent of Malheur county for the past 40 years, he is a past lieu tenant governor of Kiwanis and a past president of Payette Lions club and Ontario Chamber of Commerce. The annual campaign for mem bers and funds will be launched in Malheur county during March.
