OREGON PAGE TWO Special Services Told Service to Honor For Christian Church LDS Missionary THE GATE CITY JOURNAL Plans are being made for col lege youth to participate in the Dec. 29 Sunday service at the Christian church, according to Pastor Wallace Prowell. A New Year’s watch night par ty will be held Dec. 31 in the church fellowship room. Social activities will begin at 7 o’clock with a worship service scheduled at 11:15. “This will be a unique service in that everyone will have an opportunity to rid himself of the faults of the past and start out 1964 with definite resolu tions,” the Rev. Prowell said. The old year will be ended and the new year started in prayer. Care With Fire During Yule Season Parliamentary Law Urged by National Fire Underwriters Course Announced Care with fire during the holiday season and also through out the year was urged this week by Lewis A. Vincent, gen eral manager of the National Board of Fire Underwriters. Fire losses in the United States this year again will ex ceed $1 billion, Vincent said. Sponsoring the classes are the Parma PTA council, Par ma Education association and Treasure Valley Toastmistress club. Mrs. Arnold will charge $100 for the course regardless of the number attending so the more enrolled the less it will cost for each person. As a special incentive to teen agers as well as adults, a family may attend for the price of one person. For instance, if 20 fami lies enroll, it will cost only $5 per family whether it is just one in dividual or the entire family.
