By Ruth Bowers KINGMAN KOLONY—Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gettys and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Spelts of Modesto, Calif., arrived last Thursday at a Nyssa trailer park. The two cou- pies are on a year’s tour of the United States, Canada and Mexi co. They were Thursday evening dinner guests at the Charlie Bow ers home and Friday the Bowers took them to Lake Owyhee for crappie fishing. A picnic dinner was held Sunday on the Bowers lawn for guests including Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bowers and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chapin and family, Mr. and Mrs. James Phi fer, Jeanette and Roger. Mrs. Spelts and Floyd Gettys are cousins of Mrs. Bowers. This is the first time in 38 years that Gettys and Mrs. Bowers have had a reunion. The Spelts have visit ed here before. PAGE SEVEN VISIT IN HUFFMAN HOME; FAMILY TO HOLD REUNION Mrs. Mildred Huffman and chil dren of Klamath Falls arrived July 20 for a 10-day visit with her late husband’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Huffman. The family left July 30 for Kalispel, Mont., accompanied by the Nyssa cou ple’s daughter, Mrs. Robert (Lois) Lundy who arrived by plane in Boise on the evening of July 28. The Klamath Falls family is spending 10 days in the Lundy home at Kalispel. The Morris Huffmans, Mildred Huffman fam ily and Lundy family plan to at tend a Huffman reunion on Aug. 10-11 at the home of Ernest Huff man in Thompson Falls, Mont. He is a brother of Morris Huffman. The men’s brother-in-law and sis-. ter, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Williams, their son, Ed Williams and family of La Junta, Colo., also plan to attend the reunion. They arrived Wednesday at the Huffman home in Nyssa. Funeral services for Louis Ed gar Holman were conducted at 11 o’clock Monday morning, Aug. 5, 1963, at West chapel in Baker. Following an extended illness, he succumbed Friday a t Malheur Memorial hospital where he had been a patient for approximately two weeks. Mr. Holman was born April 30, 1911, at Baker and had been a resident of Nyssa for three years. He had been associated with a brother as salesman of men's clo thing. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Harriet Pennie of Nyssa; one son, Oliver of California; two daughters, Holly Holman of Den ver and Darlene Holman of Port land.
