Mrs. Ludlow, Mrs. Foster and Mrs. Keveren remained for the Tuesday session. Ontario LDS Rites To Be Held Today For Martha R. Heath The Rosary was recited for Re gino Montoya on Sunday evening, April 28, 1963, at Peckham-Dakan- Davis chapel in Caldwell and re quiem mass was repeated Monday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Caldwell. Mr. Montoya, retired stockman and miner, succumbed in a Cald well nursing home following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 7, 1887, in Alava, Spain, and arrived in Owyhee county from that coun try on Feb. 23, 1907. He worked in the mines at De Lamar and lived in the De Lamar - Silver City-Jordan Valley area until he moved to Adrian in 1920. He was united in marriage in 1923 to Georgia Mendiola in Vale. The deceased was a member of the Catholic church. Mr. Montoya had operated a stock ranch until ill health forced his retirement approximately two years ago. In addition to his widow, sur vivors include two brothers-in- law, Joe Mendiola of Vale and Angel Mendiola of Winnemucca, Nev.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Vin cente Mendiola of Ontario. Rev. Fr. John Casby of Cald well officiated at the services. Burial was made in St. John’s cemetery at Ontario. During rehearsal they begin improvising scenes from the passion of Christ and the charac-, terizations take control of them. I In their imagination they be come the characters. In this strange way Judas is presented as a modern man and attempts to justify his betrayal in several different ways. The Rev. Wallace Prowell, pas tor of the local Christian church, i issues an invitation to all area' residents to see this drama as it I re - humanizes these characters, stripping them of two thousand years of tradition and literary cliches and in this way reveals unique insights into the “treach ery” of Judas and the beauty of forgiveness. Funeral services for Mrs. Mar tha Rosa Heath will be conducted at 2 o’clock this afternoon at the LDS church in Ontario with Bi shop Glenn E. Call officiating. She succumbed at Holy Rosary hos pital Sunday, April 28, 1963, fol lowing a brief illness. Mrs. Heath was born Dec. 23, 1887, in Chester, Minn., and on June 5, 1912, was united in mar riage to Clarence E. Heath in Seattle. j The couple came to Nyssa from Ogden, Utah, approximately 16 years ago and had resided in On tario for the past three years. The deceased was a member of the LDS church. In addition to Mr. Heath, sur vivors include three sons, Clar ence J. of Ontario, Melvin R. of Kaysville, Utah, and Roland E of Bountiful, Utah; one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bowers of Ontario. Also surviving are two broth ers, Frank and Merton Bell of Austin, Minn.; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Interment will be made in Ev ergreen cemetery at Ontario un der direction of Bertelson-Lien- kaemper funeral home. Conference Officers Elected at Meeting Of Methodist Ladies A Western district Wesleyan Service guild meeting was held Sunday in the Methodist church. New conference officers were elected during the session. To Serve Mission in Texas ♦ Time Change Noted For Sunday Service At Episcopal Church The regular 11 a m. service at St. Paul’s Episcopal church has been postponed until 3:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, according to an announcement by the Rev. Ar mand Larive. A potluck dinner will be held following the service. The Rt. Rev. Lane Barton will be at the local church for confir mation at that time and the post ponement is on deference to his schedule, the Rev. Larive said. Episcopalians are asked to note the change of time and to take food for dinner at the church. • A farewell testimonial service for Dale Larsson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Larsson of route 2, Nyssa, will be held at 8 p m* Sunday, May 5, at the Nyssa LDS stake house. Elder Larsson will enter the mission home May 12 in Salt Lake City and will leave from there on an LDS mission to Texas. He was graduated in 1962 from Nyssa high school and is present ly in the employ of Marion Glenn. The young missionary’s Texas mission address will be 5510 Caro line street, Houston 4, Texas. Friends of the Larsson family and the public are invited to at tend this farewell service.
