Roll call was answered by a child hood remembrance of Easter. Mrs. Arie Bakker told about Easter in Holland. Goldie Roper drew the door prize. Mrs. Cecil Houston, Mrs. Bak ker and Mrs. George Moeller were named as the nominating com mittee for new officers for the coming year. Next meeting will be April 26 at the home of Mrs. Fay Com. Recent weekend guests at the Brig Olsen home were his broth ers, Glen Olsen of Washington. D.C., Cecil Olsen and family of Boise and his sister, Marian Sim mons of Ogden, Utah. Dale Lakey, Mrs. Dewey Brown and children, Mrs. Marvin Jensen and son of Boise visited April 11 in the John Zittercob home and were dinner guests that evening in the Otis Bullard residence. Guests in Schenk Home Mr. and Mrs. John Schenk’s children and their families spent Easter vacation with them. They included Mr. and Mrs. Doni Pet erson and family of Pullman, Wash., Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Rus sell and family of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Schenk of Provo, Utah. On Sunday they had a picnic dinner in the Nyssa park and were joined by Mr. and Mrs. Tom Moore and family, Mr. and Mrs. Max Moore and family, Mar sha Savage and Linda Mullins. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bowers and family of Nyssa were April 14 dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bowers. In the afternoon they drove to Nampa and Melba to view the new farm project of lands being cultivated for the first time. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Corn and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Corn of Ontario spent Easter in Jordan Valley with Mr. and Mrs. Allen Baltzor and daughter. Celebrate Anniversary After evening church services April 12, Mr. and Mrs. George Stockfleth, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ford of Nyssa. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Henderson of Apple Valley and Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Robbins gath ered at the Merildean Robbins home to help him celebrate his birthday anniversary. Mrs. Rob bins served birthday cake to the group. ell. Karry Cleaver led the pledges. Roll call was answered with members telling whether or not they would like to give a demon stration at the spring fair. They returned home Sunday eve ning. Recent Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Parley Feik were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Everton of Nampa, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Feik and family. They were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Earn shaw and family of Kemmerer, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cole man and family of La Grande, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Wilson and family of Payette, Gail Coleman of The Dalles and Miss Charlene Williams of Pendleton. On Satur day they all had dinner in the Coleman home. Sunday they were all dinner guests at the Wilson home in Payette with an egg hunt for the children. Mr. and Mrs. Merildean Rob bins and family were Easter din ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Winchell in Nyssa. Mrs. John Zittercob returned home April 13 after minor sur gery in Malheur Memorial hospi tal. Karma Kesler recently accom panied Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peter son and family to Salt Lake City. Florence Gonport of Nampa spent a recent weekend with El len Gardiner. MOVE TO SALT LAKE Mrs. Mamie Baker, Jean and I Joan left Friday to make their home in Salt Lake City. Joan has employment there and Jean will attend beauty college. Ron Kirstine, manager of the Sugar Bowl, is residing in the Baker residence on Park avenue WILLIS R. WILEY ♦ ♦ Willis R. Wiley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Wiley of route 2, Nyssa, has been promoted to spe cialist four in the U. S. Army and has been made special driver for Army officers. He enlisted in 1961 and had been in the Army post office in Germany for nine months. He recently received his high school diploma. Wiley is with headquarters troop, Second Armored Cavalry in Nuremburg. OWYHEE—OKK club members met Thursday of last week at the home of Mrs. Chet Mills. Mrs. Stanley Mills was co - hostess. | Present were thirteen members and two guests, Mrs. Powell and Mrs. R. A. Batt. The club is giving a $25 scho larship to Jimmy Brewer for 4-H Summer school at Corvallis. Mrs Werner Peutz and Mrs. LaVona McDonald were winners of the door prizes and game prizes were won by LaVona McDonald and Mrs. Powell. Next club meeting will be held May 16 with Mrs. Keith Kygar i with Mrs. Claude Skinner as co-1 hostess. PAGE THREE tended the horse sale. Mr. and Mrs Richard Callaham and family of McCall were week end guests in the Carl Callaham home. Saturday afternoon callers there were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lo- vitt of Adrian and Mr and Mrs. Lee Lovitt of Parma. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Callaham were Sunday dinner guests in the Earl Calla ham home at Parma. Mrs. T. H. Brewer and Mrs Della Ditty were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Buster Eld- wards at Owyhee junction. After noon callers were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Brandt of Kingman Kolony. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Glenn and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Share had dinner in Ontario Sunday and at Classifieds Bring Results! COLLEGE MEN TO ATTEND SCIENCE MEET IN NAMPA Carlyle I. Dean, head of the Natural Science department, and Howard E. Zink head of mathe matics at Treasure Valley Com munity college, will attend the fifth annual session of the Idaho Academy of Science to be held on the Northwest Nazarene college campus Friday and Saturday. Zink will chairman the science symposium, “Meteorology in Ida ho,” which will deal with me teorology services, weather and radiation, meteorology and agri culture and climates in Idaho. VISIT FROM HERMISTON Mr. and Mrs. Don Miller of Hermiston spent one day last week in Nyssa. They also visited his mother. Mrs. Mary Miller in the Vale nursing home. Plans were made for the home extension festival in Harper. Mrs. Orland White gave the lesson on low calorie diets. This was the last meeting of the club until fall. Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Kesler, Sr., were dinner guests Easter Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Petterson and family. Mr. and Mrs. Art Richardson and family of Boise spent Easter weekend in the Ernest Stephen son home. Easter Sunday guests in the Cecil Houston home were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Sigler and family, Doro thy Houston of Boise, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Ball of Mesa, Idaho. Joan Bair of Long Beach, Calif., is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theo Matherly.
