THURSDAY. APRIL 18. 1963 THE NYSSA GATE CITY JOURNAL. NYSSA, OREGON OES MEETING SLATED Eastern-Central Oregon associa tion of the Order of Eastern Star will hold a meeting Sunday, Ap ril 21, in the Ontario Masonic hall. A potluck dinner at 12 o’clock will precede the business meet ing. Organ Group to Hear Program by Students Treasure Valley Hammond Or gan society will meet at 8 o’clock this evening in the Walnut room at Moore hotel in Ontario. On the program will be Doug las Davis. Michael White and Lin da Shoemaker. They are all or gan students of Mrs. Donovan Moore of Ontario. Karen Bybee and Ashley Poust, Jr., will conclude the program for the evening Mrs. Grant Jones is their instructor. Mrs. Leo Jacobs of Ontario will play background music prior to the meeting. Sessions are held every third Thursday and the group invites all area residents who are inter ested in organ music whether or not they play or own their own organs. North Board Staff Honors John Lane With Dinner Party A dinner party honoring John Lane was held Friday evening in the dining room at Brownie’s cafe by North Board of Con trol employees, their wives and friends. Forty-one were in at tendance. Lane retired recently after 14 years of service with the recla mation staff. Glenn McGinnis served as spokesman for the group and in troduced Al Baker who told of the employees’ association with the honoree. Paul House.
