Wallace Prowell per- formed the rites in the presence of family members and close friends of the couple. For her wedding gown the bride chose a powder blue sleeveless dress and with it wore white lace accessor ies and an orchid corsage. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kohl attend ed as best man and matron of honor. A wedding cake decorated with white and pink bells graced the refreshment table at a reception given in Brownie’s cafe. Assist ing with serving, gifts and guest registration were Mrs. Harvey Niles, Mrs. Bertha Taylor and Mrs. Lyda Kohl. Following a trip to Bend, the newlyweds are at home at 409 Good avenue in Nyssa. He is an employee of Amalgamated Sugar company. Among out-of-town guests at tending the ceremony was the bride’s mother, Mrs. Nellie Blod gett of Clatskanie, Ore. Mrs. Kirk is a former resident of Marshall county, Kan., com ing to Wilder from her son’s home in Nebraska in 1960. She makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ed (Mary) Siegenhagen. She has a daughter, Mrs. Linda Burres in Payette and another daughter, Mrs Olive Ayers of Huntington and several grandchildren The honoree received numerous gifts, cards and letters, among which was one from Gov. Robert E. Smylie. Although almost blind, she has maintained her faith in the good ness of life and her interest in her children and grandchildren. She sat in a rocker and received her guests.
