Moore was born Nov. 23. 1895. in Rosemark. Tenn. He was a graduate of Bryson college and completed h i s theological studies at Xenia seminary in St. Louis. Mo In 1924 he was united in marriage to Marie Moose. He pioneered youth camps and conference programs for his own congregations and for the United Presbyterian Presbytery of Ore gon. Until the Presbyterian union in 1958, the Rev Moore had the dis tinction of achieving one of the longest continuous records of ser vice in the United Presbyterian Synod of the Columbia, serving from 1925 to I960 He was mod erator of the synod in 1929 and 1930 and again in 1945 He died Dec. 26. 1962, in Tennessee of a heart attack. Dr. J. Boyd Patterson of Port- land, Ore. church official and mam speaker during the Sunday service, remarked.
