Mr. and Mrs. Luther Rogers and Miss Minnie White of Boise and Paige Zobell of Nyssa visited Sunday in the George Hust home COOKERETTES SEE MUFFIN MAKING DEMONSTRATION Cookerettes 4-H club met Mon day, March 4. at the home of Mrs Topliff, leader. Wanda Peutz. junior leader, demonstrated making muffins and showed how to judge them after they were baked. Roll was answered by each member telling what she had cooked in the past week Mrs. Topliff told the group about National 4-H Club week which was March 2-9. A roller skating party was held for all 4-H’ers on March 15. Cookie recipe books from Swift and company were given to each member. Winter Named For Monthly Award At Guam Naval Base Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Winter , have received word that their son, Jon Richard, was recently selected by a board of officers and enlisted men as the outstanding enlisted man for the month of March at ¿he U. S. Naval hospital on Guam. A letter to the Winters from Captain J. H. Jenkins reads in part, “For his outstanding pro fessional ability and excellent military demeanor, he was se lected from a group of 171 en listed men of various rates. “His performance of duty has been a credit to this hospital and has been consistent with the fin est traditions of the naval ser vice."
