Frankie Worden acted as secre tary in the absence of Virginia Timmerman. The unit voted to make name cards for the spring festival to be held in April at Harper and to send $3 for next year’s County Extension Home Economics scho larship. Elnore Topi iff gave the lesson on “Developing Responsibility” and “Teenage Household Chores.” Present were 12 members and one guest, Mrs. Vem McCain. Next meeting will be March 21 at the Piercy home. Sunday dinner guests at the M. L. Judd home included his mother, Mrs. Olive Judd, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Judd of Parma and Mr and Mrs. M. O. Judd and fam ily. The Cookerettes 4-H club met Monday after school with Mrs Irvin Topliff. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hammon and Larry Dee left Friday for Salt Lake City where they will spend a week visiting friends and rela tives. My Naighbors PAGE NINE BOY SCOUT TROOP TAKES TEN-MILE HIKE TO HILLS Boy Scout troop 445 of Nyssa took a ten-mile hike Saturday into the foothills west of Nyssa. Activities included making a fire and cooking one full meal. The boys played several games, including football. Those making the hike includ ed Scoutmaster James Skeen, Steve Mann, Steve Moss, Craig Talbot, Jim Ableman. Royce Zo- bell. Brad Burningham and Scott Jefferies. been transferred from fire control to missile computers aboard the USS Canberra. He has been serving aboard the guided missile carrier for the past four years. The ship is currently on a cruise in the Mediterranean which will last for six or seven months. VISIT FROM POCATELLO Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Simpson and family were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ward in Cow Hollow. Buddy Jo Love and Dave Met calf of Hotchkiss, Colo., arrived Feb. 19 to visit in the Ray Simp son home. Buddy Jo is a nephew of Simpson.
