They were met there by his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bellon. The two families were Christmas dinner guests in the Charles Ur ban home in the Idaho capital city. Arthur Skogan of the Owyhee Community church officiating. Mr. Bullard succumbed early Christmas day in his home at 802 Park avenue in Nyssa. He was born Jan. 12, 1877, at Ft. Madison, Wis., a son of Rich- ard and Sarah Bratton Bullard, His parents died when he was very young, so he lived with his grandparents, moving with them to Nebraska. He was united in marriage Jan. 11, 1896, to Emma Bohy at Ord, Neb., and the couple came to Ore gon that year by wagon train. He first worked in Malheur county as a buckaroo for the old PL & S company and later farm ed near Vale. In 1912 he and his family moved to the Arcadia community where he converted 120 acres of sagebrush into a farm. The deceased was active in the formation of Nyssa Road District No. 1, served as a director on the Shoestring Ditch of the Nyssa- Ontario Irrigation district and also served as director on the Arcadia school board prior to consolida tion. He farmed in the Arcadia area until ill health forced his retire- ment and then moved to Nyssa where he spent the remainder of his days. Mrs. Bullard died July 9, 1945. He was married to Gladys Fifer of Vale on Nov. 8, 1948.
