Rigney and Mrs. Paul Blaylock spent last Saturday in La Grande where they attended the fall meeting of the Eastern Oregon Chapter of Exceptional Children General theme of the meeting was Cooperating Areas of Special Education. Dr. Harold McAbee, superintendent of the La Grande schools, spoke on "The Superin tendent as a Team Member.” Others who gave talks as team members were Mrs. Norma Noyes, school board member, La Grande; Darrell Muller, director of special education, Pendleton; Don O’Neill, guidance director, La Grande; Effie Cole, Union county public health department; Clair McMul len, Union county public welfare worker; and Arthur Gillespie, vo cational rehabilitation director for Eastern Oregon. Special guest speakers were John Taylor, State Department of Eduction, Salem; and Dr. Karl Ashley, Oregon State Board of Health, Portland. A luncheon was served at noon by girls of the La Grande junior high school special class. These girls also assisted in preparation of food. Speakers during the lun cheon were Dr. Richard Hall, M.D.; Dr. Douglas Eustace, den tist; and Dr. Earl Schmidt, opto metrist, all of La Grande. IDAHO FAMILY VISITS CWO and Mrs. E. B. Brady and family of Mountain Home were weekend guests of his mother, Mrs. J. I. Brady. Brady and his sons spent some time deer hunt ing in the Beulah area but were unsuccessful.
