The group gave a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Ricks Gale. Mr and Mrs. Loyd Adams and Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Hopkins were hosts Saturday evening at Oregon Trail card party with 10 tables of pinochle in play. High score winners were Mrs. Harry Kingrey and Mrs. Lucielle Runcorn. Winning 1 o w awards were Mrs. Dave Beers and Tom Drydale. Mrs. W. C. Brown and Dave Beers received traveling prizes. Next card party will be held Feb. 17. Feb. 10. A Valentine luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., followed by cards. Bridge, pinochle and canasta will be in play during the afternoon until 4 o’clock. Climaxing the day’s activities will be a smorgasbord from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Evening program will include specialty dances and floor show by Emblem members and regular dancing. All activties are based on the theme, "Twisting ’60’s.” Two $25 door prizes will be awarded during the evening. She is presently attending Moline In stitute of Commerce in Moline, Ill. Her fiance is a graduate of Mt. Carmel high school in Lawson, Ky., and Bible Missionary Insti tute of Rock Island where he ma jored in theology. At the present time, he is self-employed as a general contractor. A late spring wedding is being planned by the couple. Marty Quinowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Quinowski, was honored Jan. 28 on his third birth day anniversary.
