THURSDAY. OCTOBER 26. 1961 Homedale Grid Team To Visit Antelopes For Homecoming Adrian’s Antelopes will play their homecoming game Friday evening against Homedale. To begin festivities, a parade will be held in the afternoon at Adrian and each high school class will enter a float. Queen candi dates selected by their classmates are Barbara Brewer. Teresa Mendazona and Jeannine Wynn. Evening ceremonies will begin at 7:40 with crowning of the queen. High school band will per form during halftime at the foot ball game. Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Weeks and Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Burton of On tario returned home Oct. 17 from a two-week vacation to western Oregon. They visited the Weeks’ son, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Weeks and family at Milwaukie, toured the Tillamook cheese factory and spent a week at Cannon Beach. HOFFMAN CALLED SUNDAY TO AID SEARCH FOR HUNTER Glenn Hoffman of the Buena Vista community was called Sunday evening about 8 o'clock to take his bloodhounds and help search for Dee Baker of Ontario who was lost in Bully Creek canyon. Search with the hounds was hampered due to the fact that Baker's hunting companions could not remember the exact spot they had last seen him. and the dogs had only a cold trail to follow. Aided by bright moonlight. Baker walked out to a Westfall ranch about 1 o'clock Monday morning. VISIT IN WARD HOME Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Morris left Sunday for their home in Port land after visiting for several days with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Audrey Ward. Morris did some hunting while in this area. " " « . Young Nyssa Hunters Down First Deer Ronald Cottrell, 13. son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Cottrell of route 2. Nyssa, successfully fill ed his doe tag Saturday while hunting above Westfall. He was accompanied by his father. Ronald bagged the doe with one shot, hitting through the ani- mill's ribs. This was his first deer. Another young hunter who was successful recently was James Brady, also 13, son of Chief Warrant Officer and Mrs. E. B. Brady of Mountain Home. He and his father got their deer in Oregon while visiting their mother and grandmother, Mrs. J. I. Brady of route 2, Nyssa. Dr. Bill Gallagher and Fred Sealy of Portland were recent house guests at the home of Dr. and Mrs. John Olsen. The men also hunted pheasants while in the Nyssa area.
