THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1, 1960 One narrent^ a OWYHEE CEMETERY BOARD ELECTION SLATED MONDAY Election of one member of the Owyhee cemetery board will be held at the Owyhee Community church Monday, Dec. 5. Polls will be open from 2 until 7 p.m. Elec tion judges will be Edna Mills, Marjorie Brewer and Cora Share. Present board members are Werner Peutz, Maurice L. Judd and Charles Culbertson, whose term is expiring. Two petitions have been filed and electors will vote for Culbert son or Don Linville. Mr. and Mrs. P. O. Liming of Caldwell were Thanksgiving day dinner guests of their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Lim ing. Other guests at the Liming home were the Rev. Earl Hastings and children. LINDA BALLOU SHOWS POTATO SOUP MAKING Happy Helpers 4-H cooking club members met Nov. 22 at the home of Mrs. Elvin Ballou with five members present. DRIVERS LICENSE TESTS SLATED HERE DEC. 9 A drivers license examiner will be on duty in Nyssa Friday, Dec. 9, at city hall between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to an announcement received from the Department of Motor Vehicles of Oregon. Persons desiring original li- censes or permits to drive are asked to file applications well ahead of the scheduled closing hour in order to assure time for completion of the required license test. Friday evening visitors at the George Mitchell home were Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Donnelly, Miss Beth Donnelly and Darwin Doss, all of Pocatello, Idaho. SECOND SECTION 10 Cents Per Copy Mr. and Mrs. Tony Richter and two of their children spent Tues day evening in Ontario at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Rich ter. The occasion marked the birthday anniversary of Pete Richter. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tschida. CARD OF THANKS I wish to thank Dr. Lester Scott, Dr. David Sarazin and the staff at Malheur Memorial hospital for the wonderful care I received during my stay there. I also wish to thank my friends and neigh bors for the get-well cards with messages of cheer and the lovely flowers.
