OCTOBER 20. 1960 Varied Program Held At Sixth Grade Tea Sixth grade students in Mrs. Tavie Hendricks room held their parents’ tea Oct. 13. The class has been studying about Mexico and forestry; therefore, they chose those topics as theme for their program. Various students gave reports on those subjects. Piano solos were presented by Juma Mitchell, Karen Main, Linda Mc- Partland, Diane Jennings and Marjorie Hipp. Marie Elquezabel and Theresa Gallegos gave the pronunciation of commonly used words in both Spanish and English, after which Marie sang “The Three Little Pigs” in Spanish. Norma Gamer and Angie Parra danced the "Mexican Hat Dance” with Angie taking the boy’s part. Guests included mothers, friends and small children. Special guests were Mrs. Clarice Poor, grade school principal; Mrs. Dolly Fenn, secretary; and W. L. McPartland, superintendent. Refreshments of punch and cookies were served by Mrs. Jack Anderson and Mrs. Omar Barn house, room mothers. Breakfast Event Honors Wahlert Family Members Michael, Mary Lee and Bill Wahlert, all having October birth day anniversaries, were honored Sunday at the family home. Guests at the breakfast event were Mr. and Mrs. Wilton Jackson and family. _ 4. Card Party Held Saturday At Oregon Trail Hall Oregon Trail card party was held Saturday night at the grange hall with six tables in play. Host ing the event were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bosch, Ellen Gardiner and Frank Sherwood. Prize winners were Mrs. Carne- fix, Bill Toomb, Mrs. Charlie Smith, Rommell Moss, William Brown and Lucille Runcorn. The next party will be held Oct. 29. Guild Members Report Successful Card Party The progressive party held Sat urday night and sponsored by the Episcopal guild was a success, ac cording to Mrs. Frank Morgan. Pinochle was in play at the Jake Fischer. Grant Rinehart and Ken Kerby homes with bridge in play at the homes of Lloyd Wilson,] George Rush, Gene Stunz, John Olsen and Mrs. Morgan. Winners in the bridge group were Mrs. George Sallee and Rob ert Wilson. Winning pinochle prizes were Mark Hartley and Mrs. Carl Sebum. New members joining the club I this year are Kay Söderström and Sylvia Holly.
