Smith LINCOLN HEIGHTS—The In- termediate Bible class presented a program to shut-ins at Malheur nursing home in Nyssa Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Bruce Hunt and Mrs Keith Fields sang a duet. Stanley Penn gave a devotional message. Mr. and Mrs. George Barnes and Diane and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Anderson and Laura Dee were Sunday dinner guests at the Drexell Barnes home in Ontario. Mrs. John Stohler left Thursday evening for Portland to visit at the Larry Penn home. John Meyers arrived from Washington last week to visit at the Harlan Meyer home. The men are brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Addie Satalich of Portland are visiting in Califor- Adrian Garden club meeting held Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Henry Day. Mrs. Joe Wright and grand daughter, Vicki, called Monday at the Carl Begeman home. Wednesday dinner guest at the home of Carl Begeman and Mrs. Ida Hodges was Mrs. Alida Van DeWater. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Thompson of Boise were guests at the Herschel Thompson home Friday night. They went from here to go deer hunting. While they are gone, their daughter, Collette, is staying with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Herschel Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schafer and Fred and Jack Elliott took a drive Sunday through Rye valley via Malheur reservoir and Brogan. Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Thiel vis ited Sunday evening at the John Thiel home. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bowers of Madras, Ore., arrived Friday eve ning to stay a week at the Charlie Bowers home. Beal» Stationed in Korea Mr. and Mrs. Tom fielderman brought their son, Tommy, to the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Reno of route 3. Parma, to remain for ’a few days Tommy was released from Cald well Memorial hospital Oct. 17 after a month’s stay there. He un derwent surgery following a fall which ruptured his liver. Army Pvt. Tommy G. Beals. 17, son of Tommy C. Beals, 510 Good Ave., Nyssa, recently arrived in Korea and is now serving with the Seventh Infantry division. Beals, a mechanic in the divi sion’s 40th Armor, entered the Army last March and completed bask training at Fort Ord. Calif. He attended Nyssa high school and was employed by Howell's Produce before entering the ser vice. His mother, Mrs. Beulah J. Beals, lives in Ceres, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Reno and family of Richland, Wash., spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reno of route 3.
