Howell of Nyssa, died sudden ly in Boise Wednesday night. Mr. Marston had been visiting here and with relatives in Boise for the past three weeks. Mrs. Howell accompanied his remains to Palisades, Nebr., where services were conducted Tuesday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Pulliam and family were in Yakima from , Wednesday until Sunday where! they were called by the illness o f; his father, A. F. Pulliam. CLASSIFIED FOR RESULTS In the United States, where World Day of Prayer came into being in 1887, more than 25,000 communities will take part in the 1958 observance. In great cathe drals and in tiny roadside chapels the special service will be heard, as well as in shops, schools, col leges, hospitals, factories and fields. Mayors and governors in many states and cities will issue special proclamations. In some places, traffic will come to a dead halt for one minute of silent prayer and the joyful bells of many de nominations will ring in unison, calling the faithful to worship. Through World Day of Prayer offerings, hard-pressed agricultur al workers and Indian-American brothers trying to adjust to city life are among those aided in America. As Christians every where ask God for the gift of world peace and unity, the grow ing contributions help to develop Christian leadership in newly- awakened Africa and Asia. Reading material for new liter ates is provided on several con tinents: the Mau Mau resettle ment camps received new light and life through the mobile unit that repeatedly visits them; pilot projects for village children are set up; Christian broadcasting is increased in lands where this is all important at this crucial mo ment in world history and other self-help and educational services are carried out—thanks to World Day of Prayer funds. All w on^n of the community are invited to attend the World Day of Prayer service. BACK TO THE BIBLE BROADCAST Station KFXD Monday—F riday 9:30—10:00 A. M. Saturday 1:00 P.M .
