Several members of the Nyssa stake MIA attended sessions of the annual convention for MIA workers of the LDS church held in Salt Lake City Friday through Sunday. Thousands of members of the organization were present for the sessions. The theme of the convention was "Put Leisure to Best Use” and those attending were told their assignment was to take care of the leisure time of LDS youth. In a score of departmental meetings workers were shown by dramatization, workshops a n d discussion, ways to reach and guide youth, and how to use the MIA youthbuilding programs in their own wards and stakes. Present from Nyssa were Henry Zobell, Frell Blair, Mrs. Ersel Beus, Mrs. Charles Mann, Mrs. Owen Froerer, Mrs. Joel Mitchell, and Karma Kesler. The youth of the stake were represented by a group of 14 singers from the Parma ward who participated in the all-church music festival Friday and Satur day nights.
