Louis Eugene Maxiield of Nys-
sa has been selected for m em ber­
ship in the Tele-Mike club at
Oregon State college, Corvallis.
The club is composed of stu ­
dents taking training in radio and
television. Members prepare and
present special program s built
around campus activities as part
of their work.
M axiield, a freshm an majoring
in science, is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. M. U. Maxiield, 212 North
4th, Nyssa. He :s a 1956 graduate
of Nyssa high school.

last Monday evening at the high

S. P. Kelley review ed the his­
tory of the association and in­
troduced a leading artist of the
valley .Mrs. George M arkham
and several of her students of
Ontario, to the group. Mrs. M ark­
ham w ill be one of the instruc­
tors of the classes to be held the
first and third Mondays in the
month beginning Feb. 18.

lative bulletin, published by the
Legion, pertaining to Legion ac­
tivities in congress.
Mrs. Nellie Bennett presented
literature on civil defense which

to Utah last Friday by the death of
her father, Dr. J. M. Bernheisel
of Logan. Funeral services were
conducted Thursday at Lewis­
ton, Utah, for Dr. Bernheisel.
