The calves liked Calf Startena right from the start
and it didn't take long until they were showing good
growth. At four months old my calves looked like mini
ature dairy cows and they averaged over 300 pounds
each. They were all big framed calves, with good rib
spread. Not one was pot gutted or slab sided, but with
good barrels and plenty of length.
The Purina Program is the one for me. It gave me
outstanding results and only cost me half as much as
milk feeding.

There is an amazing lack o f in
terest in Oregon’s forthcoming pri
mary election in May. It may be be-
■au.se the candidates have not made
much play for the offices they seek,
or it may be that there is little or
no competition. About all we can
find out are from rumors and many
of them are vague and incomplete.
We have met a few o f the aspir
ants for county offices but all of
them are incumbent office holders
and our meetings were not the result
of their campaigning.
It’s a different story with the can
didates for state offices. The nta.l
has been flooded with their bio
graphies. especially those seeking
election as delegates to both the na
tional political conventions.
Maybe things will get hot along
about August.
