It happened between 5:00 and 6:00 o'clock a. m„ December 5, 19'0. I had just turned off the alarm and turned on the light and of course my first thought were what day it was then. This was the day Prime Minister Attlee was to confer with President Truman. Then I thought about the wars and when the Japs came here to talk peace and the \ bombing of Pearl harbor and then the Russians coming to the UN meetings and what was Mr. Attlee going to say or do? Was he going to talk us out of a war with China to protect B ritain’s interest in China or talk us into arming Europe to protect England from a war wi'.h Russia. Then I guess I remained a little too long. I was getting drowsy again when I thought I could hear the buzzing of a plane or something when all became quiet until I thought I felt something strike me a piercing blow on the right temple, which brought me to my senses. I placed my hand on the side of my head and there was blood. I looked on my pillow and there was blood. I had been struck by something. I looked again and to be sure there on my pillow was a full grown mosquito as large as any I had ever seen. I have seen lots of them but never on the 5th of December. To Ogden— Mrs. C. A.
