school Wednesday evening, when
the children and teachers provided
a delicious banquet and program in
their honor.

The farmers have been complain
ing about price of crops and thought
fruit cheap here. Chas Wyckoff re
ceived a letter from his nephew in
California and he says they receiv
ed $7 per ton for their best peaches
and $1.50 per ton for seconds. $12
per ton for apricots and cherries so
low that they didn't pick them.
Mr. Wyckoff left for Yakima,
Wash.. Monday morning to visit his
son Howard and family.
We are hoping with the “Happy
Farmer” that some thing can be
done about our side roads.

Two dogs have been dlstroying
chickens for some of the members
of Rlverview district. Nine young
ones were eaten at the Gonason
home not long ago. They are in
hopes that these dogs will be caught
in the act soon.
