The purpose o f this meeting, ac cording to the notices sent out Is for the purpose of making final plans and a real drive for the pas sage of the proposed bonds at the May primaries. Every person interested has been Invited to come and to bring friends. This committee is composed of citizens of the county who see the need of Improved roads and who have endorsed the plan of the ori ginal committee in floating a $100,- 000 road bond, which will be allo cated to every section of the county. These bonds, it is proposed, will be retired serially, out of funds re ceived from the state as the coun ty’s share of the gas tax money. This method was. and is being used, re tiring the present bonds, which will be paid o ff in 1940. Starting out with a balloon race, In which each rider had a balloon tied to his helmet, the meet, which was sponsored by the Boise A. M. A. and the Payette Motorcycle club, moved on to the next event which was the Australian pursuit race. The race is run on a very small circle and is a real test of the riders abil ity. Next in order, was an overall race, an egg race, and after some trick riding by the various members of both club, the tourist trophy race took place. This race proved the thriller of the day, for besides being laid out in sharp curves has an in ind out curve that more than one rider took a spill on. The clubs announced that perhaps in the near future they may return to Ny^sa and put on another race, which will be a 'warm-up' for the big races at McCall, Idaho. July I and 4.
