Lee, who died In Boise last Wednesday was held at St. Bernard Catholic church Saturday morning. Everyone In this community extend to the family their sympathy. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Parks were In Portland for several days last week. Everett Miller of Danner, Oregon, had the misfortune to be bitten by a rattlesnake. He is improving. Rees Bryam, a former resident of Jordan Valley and Silver City was a visitor In the valley on Monday. Margaret Madarleta is the guest of Helen Mark this week. Several Basques attended the Bas que picnic held in Boise on August 2. Mrs. Asplazu and daughter An gela of Salt Lake are visiting rela tives this week. Sam Duff, superintendent of the bridge work, was slightly injured In an auto wreck near Marsing. Mrs Domingo Laca and grandson of Lovelock, Nev., returned to their home after a few weeks visit with her son V. P. Laos and family. The Trojans orchestra from Nam pa played for the dance last Satur day night. Felix Chertude is driving the mall stage this week. Helen Anderson returned from Ontario Monday and has MLss Ellen Riebeg of Ontario as her guest. Charles Burns was a business visitor In Vale last week. Louis Azcuenaga and sons re turned to Boise Friday after visiting with Louis' parents Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Aczuenaga. Joe Marks suffered an injury while working at the bridge on the Owyhee river. He will be home several days. Claude Arrien of Boise was visit ing with relatives last week. Joe Fenwick and family and Mrs, Scott, Mrs. Tom Skinner and Anne Scott have gone to Steen's moun tains for a week. John Warn who has been quite ill is very much improved. Ed Beers is very ill at the Jordan Valley Hotel. Frankk Swisher, Jr., and Mrs. Marion Cozad of New Pymouth were married at the home of Ben 8 wLsher in Boise. Mr and Mrs. Robinson from Arock passed through on their way home Tuesday. Mrs. Robinson has been visiting her daughter there for the past three weeks. Mrs. Nora Wise made a trip to Jordan Valley Tuesday and returned the same day. MLss Mary Ellen Greeley visited at the Nichols home Monday. The Zanol agent from Homedale was in this community Tuesday. Mrs. Nora Wise called at the Charles Falen home Monday morn ing . Mrs. Essie Nichols called on Maud Greeley Monday morning. Tlis Robert Cunningham family started back to their home in Cal- ifornla Monday Miss Ilo Ann and Cora Lee Cunningham remained with their father here for a few days visit, visit. Miss Dorothy Stults returned to her home In Jordan Valley last of the week. She has been employed at the Bud Mattingly home for some time. IRONSIDE NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Lee Thomson of Riverside, Calif., have been visiting at the home of friends, the Elms and Whites and at the home of their neice Mrs. Earl Lofton. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Beam and and daughter Mrs. Warren Blodgett j and son all of Nyssa visited Thurs day at the E. J. Beam home on their way to Dixie mountain in search of huckleberries. I Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Beam and son ' Arthur were Ontario visitors last i Thursday. The Arthur Simpson family and Mrs. Elmer Molthan spent several days last week, on Granite Boulder. They returned with about 14 gallon Of huckleberries. The Raph Beam family of Unity spent Monday evening at the par ental E. J. Beam home. Several from here attended the Grange dance at Unity Saturday night. Mesdames Sylvester Rose, Carlos Lofton and John Molthan furnished the music.
