Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Spell and children of Boise have gone to Texas lor the summer where they will visit Mr. Spell's mother. They lived in Boise the past year. Mrs. Spell is a sister of Mrs. C. L. McCoy. Nevada Men To Fly Portland To Urge 1-O-N Roadj U. S. Senator Patrick McCarran, Sam Durkee, engineer, and R. C. Stlt- zrr flew from Wmnomucea, Ncv., to Portland Saturday to urge the designa tion of the I-O -N through Malheur county. "The difference in mileage be tween the route north from Rome and through Jordan Valley would not be great,” Durkee said. The road would give an outlet for producers of the Snake river, valley. Winnemucca Is an xious that such an outlet be provided as It now must get Its produce from San Francisco. The Nevada delegation sold the Mc- Dermitt-Wlnnemucca road, a graveled one, would be further improved. They promised this improvement If Oregon builds tlie connection.
