Nyssa fans got a great kick out of the
College of Idaho vs. La Grande Normal
night grid game in Caldwell Friday,
although most of them said it failed to
show the even fight of the Baker-Nyssa
clash earlier in the day. Dan Hanks,
Nyssa high school star a few years ago,
was the outstanding player for La
Grande while Babe McCulloch, also a
former Nyssa youth, outdid most of the
boys on the C. of I. line-up. Idaho
won, 22 to 6.

Engineer C. C. Ketchum, at present
in charge of the Vale irrigation project
for the bureau of reclamation, will be
gin a survey of the Brogan-Burnt river
project sometime this month. The work
will start as soon as negotiations are
completed whereby the state will agree
to share the cost with the bureau of
reclamation.
The survey will take several weeks
and will require a staff of several men.
It will decide the feasibility of the pro
posed Burnt river project which will
bring supplemental water to Brogan
farm lands at an estimated cost of
about a million dollars.
