BULLS EYE I tee where some o f the Foreign Nations say they are going to FCJND their debt to America, and all the Papers are all excited about it. But the B U L L 'S E Y E is a Paper that never misleads our readers (either one of them). I'T N D IN G a debt means about the same thing as having a fellow that has owed you for years, como to you and say “ I am going to make arrangements to take up that loan I owe you just as soon as I can collect it from some fel lows u h o owe m e.” So don’ t by any means get F U N D IN G mixed up with P A Y IN G . T h e two have nothing in common. These Nations are just stalling until another W ar comes along and the first thing you know our debt will be four W ars behind. W e have enough saved up to fight again, but they are using it now to enforce Prohibition. O h ,yes, " B U L L ” D U R H A M . I like to forgot to mention that. W ell, that is what the Foreign N a tio n s are p a y in g us in. " B U L L ” D U R H A M without the D U R H A M . LEVI STRAUSS Makers o f Two Horse Waist 0 \ — alls A new Pair FREE i f They Eip It would mean much to this section and to the entire Snake vJley should Snake ri.er be canalized from its mouth at Pasco, Wash., to Shoshone Falls, a< is proposed by the govern ment This would mean greatly reduced freight rates and more accessibility to markets. And that is all the Snake valley need: to make ,t ths wr at' t little producing sedioli in i! s country. We have got the fertile soil, the tquabte climate and the men who know how to produce the stuff. With freight rates cut in half, or even lower, thus insuring the farmer a fair re turn for his labor and invest ment, ti e amount of produce that could be raised here is almost incalculable. At the present time there is little incentive to raise big crops, for in most cases the h'gh freight rates eat up the differ» nee be tween the cost of production and the price received by the pro ducer. With a river freight rate to tidewater this situation would be materially changed. Guaranteed b y jir K A r itA * . m c s.rt.A ras ¿11 Fifth Avenue, New York l The Oregon Trail P T.
