At the State Fair at Salem, Sept.
25th to 30th inclusive, the Mulheur
Boys’ and d ills ’ club won fourth
prize «on artistic booth in competi­
tion against the other counties rep-
resentinl there.
There were 15 entries of corn in
the club booth. Five prizes only
were given for corn and we played
“ pig” by taking all five prizes. In
placing the corn by the judges we
won the first seven places. The
boys winning were as follows: First,
Ted Barrett o f Upper Big Bend;
2nd, Elmer Parker o f Lower Big
Bend: 3rd, Bobby Barrett o f Upper
Big Bend; 4th, Ira Biumbach of
Lower. Big
Bend;
5 th, Gerrett
Muntzgewerff of Lower Big Bend.
First prize, a trip to the Oregon
Agricultural College and a member­
ship in the Boys’ and Girls’ Summer
School, 1928, with all expenses paid
