It is a play which gets close to the heart and comes closer to measuring up to the old saying, “ you laugh one minute and you weep the next,” than any other play of recent yean. It w ill be produced with a very capable company o f actors and with elaborate stage settings by the Ellas Day Players o f Chicago, under the personal direction o f Mr. Ellas Day, noted actor, producer of the Middle West. It Is a play which has a universal appeal to people In every walk of life. The characters are finely drawn and there Is a clear cut, human element that runs through the story from first to last. The play quickly caught the favor o f Eastern critics when It was first produced. The Ladies Guild met at the home o f Mrs. A. H. Boydell on Thureday a f ternoon.
