NOVEMBER 19, IMO First Unit Black Canyon Under Way Work on th e first unit of the Black Canyon irrigation I* progress ing repidiy, says the New Plymouth sentinel. Surveyors of the reclama tion service are now at work on the Payette river, making surveys, aok- lmg to the irrigation of the fen da within the Black Canyon district which are on the Payette and Boise river slopes. Competent engineers estim ate that 30,000 acres of the Bo tee ¡gjop0 can be irrigated by a gravity ditch from the Black Canyon dam, together with a large arm of land on the Payette slope.
