San Francisco, Cal.— Amid the clang of tom-toms and the shrill shriek of pipes, great stacks of Japanese goods were burned in the streets of China town at 6 o'clock as the first gur of an Intensive campaign on the part of Chinese merchants to boycott "Japan ese goods, as a protest against Japan ese occupation of Shantung.
