The nearly 3,000 members of
the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers have been
asked to call special telephone
numbers to make arrangements
for returning to their jobs
Union officials said 2,251
members cast ballots in the
election with 1,164 favoring ac
ceptance of the contract and
1,078 voting no.
The contract, providing for an
8.8 percent pay increase retro
active to December 1, 1973,
expires on June 1, 1976 Two
other pay increases during the
term of the contract provide for
a 7 percent boost on December 1,
1974 and a 3.3 percent raise on

stayed over night with friends,

over to Reno They came back
over the Willamette pass and
found lots of snow They report a
very nice trip They returned
back home on Wednesday.

a real nice visit.
Dr and Mrs. Gary Johnston
and children of Seattle spent
Thursday and part of Friday of
last week at the Nick Berg home

years ago They lived at Never

making regular trips to Forest
Grove to see her brother Paul, he
being in the hospital there He
has been a medical and surgical
patient He is coming along

tion with the Oregon Bureau of

the leadership of Sam Lissitz,
chairman, has been working
towards establishing guidelines
on age discrimination to assist
employers in complying with
Oregon Revised Statute 659.024
which makes it unlawful to hire
or dismiss on the basis of age
